In vitro cause

HyActive

HyActive has a positive effect in the treatment of the unattractive appearance of the skin surface and improves the overall perception of the texture, especially by reducing pore size and enhancing the process of desquamation.

It affects intercellular connections in the upper layer of the epidermis, called the stratum corneum. In the upper layers of dead cells, it regulates the flaking of dead cells, which are separated evenly. Conversely, in the inner layers it reinforces the skin's barrier function by degrading extracellular lipid precursors. A supplementary effect supporting these processes is the stimulation of the endogenous production of hyaluronic acid in the epidermis.

Carboxymethylglucan

Carboxymethylglucan’s effect on the texture of the skin is mainly related to anti-inflammatory effects, as over-activation of the immune system activates degradation enzymes and damages epidermal cells, which is ultimately reflected in the quality of the skin texture. CMG reduces the production of proinflammatory cytokines and, conversely, increases the production of natural anti-inflammatory mechanisms.

CMG also has a significant positive effect on desquamation, which in terms of texture also plays a vital role.

Hyaluronic acid

A natural ability to immobilize large quantities of water in its structures enables high-molecular hyaluronic acid, after application on the skin, to produce a highly hydrated film. Besides guaranteeing skin hydration, this film also helps to improve skin texture significantly, as demonstrated by an in vivo study.
