Carboxymethylglucan (CMG)

Carboxymethylglucan belongs to the group of (1→3)-β-D glucans, which are substances of natural origin with significant immunomodulatory and antioxidant effects. Their intensity and character are mainly due to the production organism (in our case the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and the method of isolation and/or processing.

As changes in metabolism and cellular immune responses, as well as oxidative stress, are fundamental mechanisms that cause skin aging, it is hardly surprising that, during in vivo tests, CMG demonstrated improved viscoelastic parameters characterizing the elasticity of the skin, as well as a positive effect on the skin’s texture.
